You can use the Steam Key in Steam by:
Launching the Steam client > Choosing Games at the top > Clicking Activate a Product on Steam... and inserting the key code there.

I think one user mentioned you can see the key by clicking the "Download" button, does clicking it show you the key? Edit: One other user mailed me about this too and he managed to get the key with the "Download" button, let me know if it doesn't work for you.
I don't actually see a "Request Key" button on my purchase page. It's supposed to be right below the "download" button right?
